Scottish Castles Association

Preserving the Past for the Future

SCA April 2017 Castle Tour to Kirkcudbright

The Scottish Castles Association gathered at the Cally Palace Hotel, Gatehouse of Fleet, in April 2017 for two days of castle seeing in Kirkcudbright and Wigtown.

It was good to meet old friends and as usual we were blessed with fine weather.

We visited no fewer than 16 castles – and one abbey! Those members who didn’t manage to make the tour and want to know more about the properties we visited will find full details in a forthcoming Journal. Want to have a chance to join us on our future tours? You can – join the Scottish Castles Association online and become a member now! Click HERE.

A selection of photos showing some of the sights we saw – and sites we visited – on our Spring tour are below, starting with Cally Castle and finishing with Cally Palace Hotel.
